Description
This is the fifth and final chapter of Clase Azul's Nuestros Recuerdos series, the 2025 Dia de Muertos limited edition, a 100% Blue Weber anejo made at Productos Finos de Agave in Jesus Maria, Los Altos. Under master distiller Viridiana Tinoco it is a blend of tequilas aged between twelve and thirty eight months in first fill American whiskey barrels, with part of the agave cooked in a pit oven for added depth and the unaged base drawn from agave cooked in both brick and pit ovens.
The result layers cooked agave with notes of fire and slowly roasted agave beneath the barrel. Aromas of cooked agave, smoked wood, orange peel, caramel and clove lead into a palate of orange marmalade, clove and cinnamon that closes on citrus and toasted oak. Bottled at 40% in the brand's hand finished decanter, the ceramic vessel is as much the draw as the sweet, layered anejo it holds.
