Description
Clarendon Kill Devil 2000 is a single cask Jamaican pot still rum distilled at Clarendon in 2000 and bottled at 21 years old by Hunter Laing for its Kill Devil label. Clarendon is a workhorse distillery running both pot and column stills, and its pot still marks can be very funky, so expect robust tropical fruit, spice and the solvent edge typical of the island.
Matured in ex-bourbon oak and bottled unsweetened at 45.5%, this is a long-aged single cask in the natural Kill Devil style, non-chill-filtered with nothing added. Two decades of ageing rounds the pot still esters with vanilla, dried fruit and oak spice, giving a deep but approachable Jamaican at gentle strength.
