Citadelle's Jardin d'Ete is the summer garden of Maison Ferrand's gin range, distilled in copper pot stills at the picturesque Chateau de Bonbonnet in the Cognac country. The base is triple-distilled French wheat for a particularly clean foundation, which is then carried by an infusion of 22 fruits and botanicals, including yuzu zest, melon and Sichuan pepper alongside the usual aromatics.

The nose is fresh with lemon, yuzu and orange peel over soft florals and a hint of cardamom; the palate is lively and refreshing, citrus and melon meeting the warm depth of Sichuan pepper, star anise and a whisper of violet. The finish is long and gently peppery. Pour into a gin and tonic with a few pieces of melon to draw out the fruit.
