Description
Cierto is a 100% Blue Weber añejo tequila produced at NOM 1146, the La Tequileña distillery in Atotonilco el Alto, where master distiller Enrique Fonseca, one of Jalisco's largest agave growers, works alongside his nephew Sergio Mendoza. The same house is the source of Don Fulano, ArteNOM and Cimarrón, and Fonseca's signature dual-still blending gives the spirit an elegant, structured frame.
Aged at least a year in oak, this añejo lets the wood become a co-lead with the agave. The nose is honeyed and fruity with light vanilla, a touch of citrus and orange, plus leather and wood. The palate runs cooked agave into caramel, oak, chocolate and vanilla, with pepper, citrus, anise and a whiskey-like, cherry-tinged depth, an oak-shaped añejo bottled at 40%.
