Togouchi fine is a no age statement blended whisky from Chugoku Jozo in Kure, Hiroshima, released in 2018 for an event-market distribution. It sits within the Togouchi range as a step above the core entry expression, aimed at a more selective release context.
Matured in Ex-Bourbon casks inside the company's decommissioned railway tunnel, the tasting profile shows a fragrant, oily character: vanilla and fresh fruit are present alongside mossy and lightly vegetative notes, the latter a feature sometimes associated with longer or slower maturation in stable underground conditions. As with other Togouchi expressions, the blend incorporates both domestic and sourced stock, and the result is bottled at 40%, light-bodied with an approachable and layered nose.
