Description
Chinaco Reposado is a 100% Blue Weber tequila from Tequilera La Gonzaleña under NOM 1127, the only tequila made in the northern state of Tamaulipas. Founded by Guillermo González Díaz Lombardo, credited with bringing the first ultra fine tequila to the United States, the house carries a distinct northern terroir, and its lineage runs on through his son Germán González of Tears of Llorona fame.
The reposado rests eleven months in 35 year old French and English white oak ex Scotch casks, which lend a gentle, woody character without overwhelming the spirit. The nose is a layered bouquet of citrus peel, peach and apple with hints of dill and quince, and the palate shows clear, fresh flavours with depth and balance before a medium length finish that is fruity and spiced, bottled at 40%.
