Chichibu Single Cask #7843 is a 7 Years Old expression distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2024 for a specific event release. It comes from Chichibu in Saitama, Venture Whisky's small-batch single malt site founded by Ichiro Akuto in 2008 and widely regarded as Japan's most influential craft distillery.
The maturation here is purely Ex-Bourbon, the cask type that most often showcases Chichibu's fruit-forward, grain-sweet new make. Over seven years the spirit has had time to absorb vanilla and gentle wood spice from the barrel. No flavour data exists for this specific cask, but in the house style vanilla, peach and light cereal are typical. At 65.5% it is bottled cask strength and undiluted.
