Released for the global market, the name The First is a direct acknowledgement of its place as an early landmark in the Chichibu story.
Three years in Ex-Bourbon casks is a brief maturation, and the result is intentionally youthful, with American oak adding the earliest notes of vanilla and light coconut before the fruit-forward character of Chichibu's new make takes over at a bold cask strength. As a historical document of Saitama's most closely watched craft distillery at its very inception, the bottling carries significance that extends well beyond the liquid alone.
