Chichibu Ichiro’s Malt & Grain

Bottled in 2016 for global distribution, this release of Chichibu Ichiro's Malt and Grain represents the standard international expression of Venture Whisky's blended whisky range. As with other bottlings in the series, the blend may incorporate both Chichibu malt from Saitama and additional sourced or imported spirit; its full makeup is not disclosed, and the range has been openly positioned as a world blend in certain markets.

The Ex-Bourbon maturation gives the familiar vanilla and light caramel base, but the flavour profile here is notably textural, with fresh fruit and honey alongside hay-like cereal character, new wood spice and an oily, slightly waxy quality on the palate. Bottled at 46% for the global market, it is a characterful and food-friendly expression of the range with a broader flavour spread than many single-market releases.
