Chichibu Ichiro's Malt 10 Years Old 2008 is a single malt distilled in the distillery's opening year and bottled in 2019 at 59.9% cask strength, released as an event bottling by Venture Whisky at the Chichibu distillery in Saitama. Ten years of maturation from the founding vintage makes this a significant marker in the distillery's timeline, presenting what a full decade of ageing does to those original 2008 distillates.
Ex-Bourbon cask maturation over ten years in Saitama draws out the vanilla, coconut and stone-fruit richness that American oak delivers at Chichibu, with the high cask strength preserving the concentration and directness of the spirit.
