Chairman's Reserve Spiced is St. Lucia Distillers' take on the spiced category, built on a blend of pot and column still rum from a base of molasses and cane juice. Unlike many spiced rums that smother a bland spirit, it starts from St. Lucia's well regarded house distillate, then leans into warming baking spices and citrus at an easy 40%.

Cinnamon, allspice, clove and orange peel dominate the aroma, and the palate carries the same Christmas cake character with nutmeg and a citrus lift. There is added flavouring and a mild sweetness here, so it sits honestly as a spiced rum rather than a neat sipping rum, but the sweetness stays moderate and the orange and cinnamon read fresh rather than syrupy. It is a friendly, festive pour, equally at home over ice or mixed into seasonal cocktails.
