CDI Dom.Republic 2011 is a Dominican rum bottled by Compagnie des Indes, the respected French house known for terroir-led, broad-origin releases at natural strength. The record lists it as unsweetened, in keeping with the bottler's transparent, largely additive-free approach.
Distilled in 2011 from molasses and aged around twelve years in ex-bourbon, it should show the Dominican profile of amber sweetness, vanilla and caramelised nuts, but presented dry so the spirit and oak lead rather than added sugar. Bottled at 43%, it is an honest, clean expression of the island style in the Compagnie des Indes manner.
