Cazadores Tequila Reposado

Cazadores Reposado is a 100% Blue Weber tequila in the rested class, the long established Cazadores line now in the Bacardi stable. As a reposado it sits in the NOM-006 category requiring at least two months in oak, and this one takes its bright golden colour from new American white oak casks that carry the spirit from two months up to a year of rest.
The agave is steam cooked rather than smoked, so the base note is baked agave sweetness rather than ember. Oak then layers vanilla and caramel over that core, with faint wood and a whisper of tropical fruit, and the spice builds toward the close. The texture is full and silky at 38%, finishing warm and gently peppery, which makes it as comfortable in a cocktail as it is alongside tacos al pastor.
