Casa D'Aristi XTA Xtabentún Liqueur is a Mexican liqueur from Yucatán, rooted in a long Mayan tradition. It is made from fermented honey of the Xtabentún flower, a climbing flower native to the region whose nectar is gathered by bees, blended with aniseed and rum, and bottled at 35% ABV. The name comes from the Mayan word meaning climbing flower, and the combination of floral honey, aniseed and Caribbean rum gives the liqueur its distinctive velvety character.

The nose carries intense sweet honey, spicy aniseed and a hint of tropical herbs, the palate is soft and velvety with floral sweetness, liquorice, spicy aniseed and a subtle rum note, and the finish is long, mild and pleasantly sweet with a warm, spicy close. Behind the bar it brings honeyed sweetness, an anise and liquorice backbone and a rum warmth, which makes it a fragrant base for an Xtabentún Old Fashioned, a margarita twist, or a serve mixed with fresh orange juice. It also works alongside coffee. Serve it neat over ice as a digestif after a savoury meal.
