Description
Casa Cofradia Special Reserve Anejo is a Blue Weber tequila from La Cofradia, a Jalisco house that has produced tequila for over fifty years and bottles for several other names as well. As an anejo it is aged past the one year NOM minimum, here twenty months in oak, which pushes it toward a softer, more rounded profile where the wood becomes a partner to the agave.
This is a special series, distinguished by its sculptural Starship style bottle in porcelain and ceramic, among the most unusual designs the house has put out. The extended rest in cask is the headline on the palate, giving a spirit described as decidedly mild and easy to drink, with the barrel softening the agave rather than overpowering it. Bottled at 38%, it leans gentle and approachable.
