Description
Carrere Montebello RAID 2010 is a 12 Year Old Guadeloupe rhum agricole distilled at the Carrere distillery, home of the Montebello brand on Basse-Terre. Drawn from a 2010 vintage and bottled at cask strength, it is a mature vieux from a traditional Marsolle-family house.
Distilled from fresh sugar cane juice and matured in ex-bourbon oak, then bottled unsweetened at 48.6%, this shows the dry, spice-forward side of aged agricole, with the record pointing to a finish of apricot, pear and apple over a woody base. An initially firm but harmonious agricole that opens with air, for drinkers who like cask-strength cane-juice rum.
