Description
Capricorn 26 draws its name from its 26 carefully chosen botanicals, most of them sourced just two kilometres from the still. The ingredients come from the spice manufactory of Edy Ledig, a former Michelin-starred chef, with fresh organic herbs cut from the Demeter Bahr nursery in the same town and organic kumquats brought straight from the Amsterdam market and distilled on arrival. Distiller Markus Wurth and Ledig share a near-obsessive focus on freshness, and it shows.
The nose is sweet and fruity, citrus-led and inviting. On the palate, zesty lime and bright kumquat sit over a light, natural sweetness, with cardamom lending a warm, aromatic close that runs long across the tongue. Enjoy neat to appreciate the detail, or in a gin and tonic with a slice of kumquat or lime.
