Caol Ila Distillers Edition

The Distillers Edition series is a collection of single malt Scotch whiskies produced by Diageo, showcasing unique double maturation processes. Each whisky in the series starts with the standard expression from a distillery within Diageo’s portfolio and is then finished in a different type of cask, typically one that has previously held fortified wine like sherry, port, or in the case of Caol Ila, Moscatel. This secondary maturation, or “double maturation,” adds a new layer of flavor and complexity to the whisky, distinguishing it from the core range offerings.
