Tropical fruit and green-meadow florals tumble out first, sweetish and intense, before herbs and lemon pull the palate back towards the juniper. Six Amazonian botanicals, among them acai, copoazu and moriche, are distilled separately then blended by hand. A glass with the rainforest written into it.

Description
Canaïma is a love letter to the Amazon, made at Destilerías Unidas in Venezuela with a portion of profits returned to rainforest conservation. Six wild Amazonian botanicals, including merey, acai, moriche, tupiro, seje and copoazu, are each distilled separately in copper pot stills before the master distiller marries them with juniper, citrus peels, coriander, angelica and caraway.
The nose is intense and fruity, floral and green like a warm meadow. The palate is complex and faintly sweet, tropical fruit weaving through herbs and lemon, with juniper holding the line beneath. It finishes long. At a confident 47%, it stands up well in a gin and tonic with a slice of lime, or in a tropical-leaning Southside.
