Lady of the Glen bottled this Cambus single grain matured to 32 year old distilled in 1988, from cask 59269 and bottled at 44.6%. A release of 296 bottles. Cambus, one of Scotland's oldest grain distilleries, ran near Alloa from about 1806 until its closure in 1993. John Moubray converted an old mill, switching from malt to grain stills in the 1830s.

It was drawn from Coffey stills on Lossburn Reservoir water, for a delicate spirit that leans on the cask with age. An ex-Bourbon barrel shaped it, American oak giving coconut and toffee. Beyond twenty five years the grain grows deep and oily, coconut, butterscotch and crème brûlée over polished oak. The high strength spirit mellows slowly into a soft, sweet old grain. The spirit was drawn off two continuous Coffey stills, the water from the Lossburn Reservoir. Single grain Cambus is rare, mostly from independent bottlers and the odd Diageo Special Release.

At cask strength 44.6% it is full bodied. The ex-Bourbon gives butterscotch, coconut and cream. Beneath it run coconut, vanilla and a soft oil. Crème brûlée and oak draw out the close. This is a finite single grain from Cambus, closed in 1993.
