Cadenhead‘s Foursquare 2010

Cadenhead's, the long established Scottish bottler, presents this single cask of Foursquare, the strict no additives pot and column rum from Richard Seale's St Philip distillery. Distilled in 2010 and aged eleven years, it is offered at its natural 55%, a full strength take on the island style.

Matured in ex-bourbon oak, it shows the recognisable Foursquare fingerprint: tropical fruit, caramel and clean, gentle oak, woody and fresh on the nose with a natural sweetness on the palate and an oily, fruity finish. Unsweetened and at full proof, it stays elegant and easy to drink, the alcohol well integrated and a few drops of water enough to open it further. A clean, straightforward expression of the distillery, this is the familiar Barbadian profile presented with the clarity that full strength brings.
