This Classic Rum Special Edition is a blended rum from Cadenhead's, Scotland's oldest independent bottler, a 17 year old multi country blend matured in ex-bourbon wood and bottled at 50%. It is built in the dark, classic British style, with Guyanese rum at its heart and a thread of Jamaican character running through.

The profile is rich and intense. A woody nose with red fruits, ester and dark chocolate gives way to a palate of tobacco, raisin, ester and wood, with a dry, warm and lightly alcoholic finish carrying raisin. The Guyana backbone drives notes of dates, dark chocolate, coffee, toffee, tobacco and warm spice, with a touch of Jamaican funk adding lift. At 50% it has plenty of body and depth without excess heat, a sturdy, characterful blend that delivers the classic dark profile in spades.
