The cask is Oloroso sherry. At twelve years, Bunnahabhain distillate sits in the comfortable middle of its sherry-maturation arc, where the new-make edges have rounded but the spirit hasn't been deeply absorbed into the wood signature. Decadent Drinks' selection logic specifically targets that balance window: where the cask is talking to the spirit rather than overwriting it.
