Description
Better known for upending the beer world, BrewDog brought the same rebellious streak to its Scottish distillery and a custom-built copper still. LoneWolf is a London Dry made from fourteen carefully chosen botanicals, among them juniper, coriander, angelica root, grapefruit and lemon peel, plus lavender and almond. The pronounced citrus character is what sets it apart, pulling the style somewhere fresher and more contemporary than tradition usually allows.
The nose is bright with fresh citrus, dominant juniper and a floral wash of lavender. The palate is full-bodied and harmonious, grapefruit and juniper meeting a slightly sweet almond note and a touch of spicy coriander, before a long, dry finish leaves a clean citrus trail. Pour it into a gin and tonic with a twist of grapefruit and a rosemary sprig, or let its citrus lead a crisp Tom Collins.
