Dry and soft, intense citrus and orchard fruit lifting over wild Italian herbs, fennel and spring flowers. Distilled with pure Alpine water by a Veneto house whose roots run to 1635, it draws botanicals from mountain, plain and Mediterranean scrub. The finish is herbal and long.

Description
The Bottega family have worked the hills near Conegliano since Andrea Bottega planted vines in 1635, and the modern distillery, founded by Aldo in 1977, sits in a restored 17th-century farmhouse among ten hectares of vineyards. Bacur The Wild Green is made with pure Alpine water and botanicals drawn from across Italy: balsamic notes from the mountains, fresh and dried herbs from the plains, and the resinous scents of Mediterranean scrub.
The nose is intense and fruity, citrus over herbal notes, fennel and spring flowers. The palate is dry, soft and harmonious, all wild herbs and gentle fruit, and the finish lingers long and green. Excellent on its own or in a long drink, it is at its best with a Mediterranean tonic that pulls its herbaceous side forward.
