Description
Böser Kater comes from the Schleihauf fruit distillery, where Adrian Schleihauf is the third generation to work the stills his cooper grandfather set up in 1982. The brand was named for his cat Rüdiger, and part of every bottle sold goes to cat welfare. Magic Green is the showpiece: a vivid green spirit that performs a colour change from green to yellow-orange the moment tonic hits the glass.
Past the theatre, it drinks gently. The nose is fruity and bright with citrus, the palate soft and rounded with lemon and a clear note of lime, and the finish lingers comfortably without turning heavy. Build it tall with plenty of ice and a good tonic, then watch the colour turn before you add a twist of lime.
