Description
Boser Kater comes from the Schleihauf fine fruit distillery in Germany, founded in 1982 by master cooper and cellar man Herbert Schleihauf and now run by his grandson Adrian, the third generation, who named the brand after his cat Rudiger. This butterscotch liqueur sits in that handmade fruit distilling tradition, a smooth, sweet caramel liqueur bottled at 20%.
The nose is soft caramel and vanilla, the palate full bodied with vanilla and caramel over a fine oak and toffee character, the finish long. Behind the bar it brings butterscotch flavour, sweetness and a velvety body to a glass, an easy way to sweeten and round a drink. Take it neat or on ice, build it into a Butterscotch Martini or a caramel espresso martini, or pour it alongside desserts such as panna cotta or chocolate cake. A caramel note from a family distillery for the dessert end of a menu.
