Bombay Sapphire London Dry Gin

Few gins are as recognisable as Bombay Sapphire in its cobalt bottle. Ten botanicals are hand-selected from around the world by Master of Botanicals Ivano Tonutti, who traces each one back to its grower. Rather than boiling them, the distillery passes alcohol vapour through the botanicals in a basket, a gentler steam infusion that lifts their fresh, clear flavours without ever stewing them.

The nose is fresh and even, juniper and citrus with a soft spice undertow. The palate is smooth and complex, citrus fruits and floral notes laced with the subtle heat of cubeb pepper from Java and grains of paradise from West Africa, all in tidy balance. The finish runs long, dry and elegant. A natural in a Dry Martini, or a tonic dressed simply with lemon zest.
