Bols Triple Sec Liqueur

Bols Triple Sec is the orange liqueur in the Bols range, made by the Amsterdam house distilling and blending since 1575. It is built on the distillation of dried curacao orange peel and other citrus fruits, which give the clear liqueur its balance of fresh fruitiness, gentle sweetness and a distinctive bitter note, bottled at a working strength of 38%.

The nose is fresh orange with citrus zest and a light sweetness, the palate fruity and sweet with dominant orange rounded by fine bitter notes, the finish medium and citrus fresh. Behind the bar it is a balancing agent as much as a flavour, its bittersweet orange tightening sour citrus and adding aromatic lift without heavy sugar. It is the orange spine of the Margarita, the Cosmopolitan, the Long Island Iced Tea and the Mai Tai, and lifts sparkling aperitifs with Prosecco or soda. Reach for it whenever a recipe calls for triple sec.
