Bols Strawberry Liqueur

Bols Strawberry sits in the fruit liqueur range of Bols, the Amsterdam house that has been distilling and blending since 1575 using fruits, herbs and spices, with around forty flavours in the line. Strawberry is combined with sugar and a neutral distilled spirit into a sweet red liqueur at 17%, made in the traditional macerated style.

The nose is strawberry and caramel with a strawberry sweet edge, the palate sweet and syrupy with strawberry sugar over hints of citrus, vanilla and chocolate, the finish long with caramel and strawberry. Behind the bar it adds strawberry flavour, sweetness, body and red colour, an easy way to push a drink toward ripe summer fruit. It pours neat over ice, sweetens and flavours daiquiris and fruit sours, and dresses any mixed drink that wants strawberry. It also pairs well with vanilla ice cream, creams and fruit desserts. Pour it on the rocks or build it into colourful serves.
