Bols Green Banana Liqueur

Bols Green Banana sits in the fruit range of the Amsterdam liqueur house, which has been distilling and blending since 1575 and built one of the widest fruit liqueur libraries in the trade. Fresh green bananas are combined with sugar and a finely distilled neutral spirit to carry the fruit, bottled at 17% in the traditional macerated style that keeps the flavour bright rather than cooked.

The nose is fresh green banana with a delicate, fruity sweetness and a hint of tropical lift, the palate fruity and sweet with a slightly tart note beneath the fruit, the finish mild and smooth. Behind the bar it works as a sweetener and a flavour, adding banana character, body and pale green colour to a drink without much spirit weight. It carries a Banana Daiquiri alongside white rum and lime, lengthens into a tropical punch, and floats easily into blended and frozen serves. Pour it over ice or build it into long fruit drinks.
