Bologne Rhum Blanc Bio 2020

Bologne Rhum Blanc Bio is an organic white agricole from the Bologne distillery in Guadeloupe, working under the island's IGP. Distilled from fresh sugarcane juice on a column still and bottled at 45%, it is unaged cane juice rum in an organic guise.

The character is fresh, rustic and easy. Floral, grassy and tropical fruit notes open the nose, the palate is rounded, oily and slightly sweet from the cane itself, and the finish turns peppery, spicy and dry. There is good freshness and a tasty cane core despite the moderate strength, even if the body stays on the lighter side. A straightforward, fresh cane organic blanc for drinkers who want everyday Guadeloupe agricole character, best in a Ti Punch or mixed drinks rather than as a heavyweight neat pour.
