Bologne Gold

Bologne is a long standing Guadeloupe distillery working in the agricole tradition, distilling from fresh pressed sugar cane juice rather than molasses. This Gold is the lightly aged tier, the entry point to the range, bottled at an easy 40 percent.

Guadeloupe sits under the looser IGP rather than the Martinique AOC, and gold agricoles like this are typically rested briefly in oak to soften the spirit and add a little colour. Expect the grassy, peppery cane character of the island in a gentle, accessible form, with light vanilla and a dry finish. This is a mixing and everyday sipping rum rather than a cask strength statement bottle.
