Blended Scotch Whisky 6 Years Old PST (Phil & Simon Thompson) is a blended Scotch from the Thompson Brothers, Phil and Simon Thompson of Dornoch. The brothers are known for their independent bottlings as well as their own malt. The brothers bottle a wide range of whisky alongside the malt from their own distillery.

The Thompson Brothers chase the fruit and texture of older Scotch. An ex-Bourbon cask held it, the young oak framing a fruity whisky. The young oak lends a light vanilla, the whisky fruit driven and rich. The cask brings a soft vanilla over the green, fruity spirit. A rich, fruity style that drinks well above its years. Phil and Simon Thompson run the tiny Dornoch distillery and a well known bottling business. The blend is built for fruit and texture over the light and modern. The Thompson Brothers are known for an eye for old style, fruit driven whisky. Their taste runs to the richer, fruitier Scotch of an earlier era.

Bottled at 46%, it is rounded. Green apple, malt and a soft oil run through it, rich and fruity. The texture is thick and oily, the fruit lifted by vanilla. A rich finish ends on apple and a soft oak. A characterful blended Scotch.
