Black Bull 40 Years Old (Duncan Taylor)

Black Bull is Duncan Taylor's revived blended Scotch, and this 40 Year Old Batch 1 is its oldest expression, a marriage of long-aged malt and grain. Duncan Taylor, the Huntly independent founded in 1938 with one of Scotland's deepest cask inventories.

Across forty years heavy evaporation and slow oxidation refined the delicate Speyside make, the strength drifting toward 40% as the angels took their share. The humid Speyside warehouse let alcohol leave faster than water, easing the strength down.

At 40.2% it shows citrus, fresh fruit, a glasshouse-green note, hay, honey and a leafy lift, undiluted. A 40 year old Black Bull.
