Bielle Rhum Vieux Agricole is an aged cane juice rum from Bielle on Marie Galante, the small island off Guadeloupe known for characterful agricole and high proof blancs. This is the gentler, accessible end of the range, an entry into aged agricole rather than a cask strength statement.

Distilled from fresh pressed cane juice on a column still and matured three years in ex bourbon oak, it keeps the grassy, fresh signature of Marie Galante cane while oak softens the edges. The nose is all agricole, sugarcane, freshness and fruit, the palate adds vanilla, butterscotch and nuts to the cane, and the finish stays nutty, soft and fruity. Unsweetened and bottled at a mild 41 percent, it offers the classic grassy cane profile in an easy package, honest and dry leaning, best neat or with a small splash of water.
