Bielle Rhum Bielle Premium Blanc

Bielle is a Marie-Galante distillery known for cane-variety experiments and the island's tradition of bottling blancs at high strength, and this blanc follows that custom at a punchy 59%. It is distilled from fresh-pressed sugar cane juice rather than molasses, the unaged white that shows agricole character at its most vivid.

The nose is fresh and floral, fresh sugarcane and lime brightened by an unusual rose or rosewater note and a touch of mint. The palate turns vegetal and peppery, cane and citrus carried by the spice, and the finish is long and peppery with black pepper and green vegetal notes. Unsweetened and bottled at full Marie-Galante strength, it has the intensity for Ti' Punch and characterful cocktails, while remaining surprisingly approachable neat for the proof.
