Bielle Rhum Arrangé Bois Bandé

Bielle is a Marie-Galante distillery working from fresh-pressed sugar cane juice, and this is an arrange infused with bois bande, a bark used in traditional French-Caribbean macerations. At 40% it is a flavoured, sweetened rum rather than a dry cane-juice spirit.

Arranges like this are steeped and sweetened, so expect a soft, sweet, aromatic pour shaped by the infusion rather than the grassy snap of a neat agricole. It is made to be drunk chilled and easy, more after-dinner sipper or dessert pour than a serious sipping rum. A traditional island flavoured rum, best approached as such.
