Berentzen Waldfrucht is a wild berry liqueur from the Berentzen house at Haselunne, a German distiller known for liqueurs and spirits since 1758. It gathers selected forest fruits, blackberry and blackcurrant to the fore with raspberry and blueberry, over the mild and harmonious base typical of the range, bottled at 16%. In the traditional fruit liqueur style the dark berries carry the drink.

The nose is fruity and fresh with ripe wild berries, blackberry and blackcurrant especially, and a subtle vanilla hint. The palate is full bodied and smooth with sweet berry fruit and a light acidity, rounded by gentle vanilla and caramel, the finish long, fruity and pleasantly sweet. Behind the bar it brings deep berry flavour, body and a rich colour, useful as a fruit modifier in long drinks and cocktails. It serves neat or over ice as a fruity digestif and tops sparkling wine for a quick berry spritz. Serve it chilled.
