Description
Berentzen Passionfruit Cream is a cream liqueur from the Berentzen house in Lower Saxony, a German distiller since 1758. It combines fruity exotic passion fruit with dairy cream in a velvety emulsion at 15%, joining the tart freshness of the fruit to a fine creamy texture. As a cream liqueur it is a dairy product, soft and gently sweet rather than sharp.
The nose is fresh tropical passion fruit with a hint of vanilla and creamy sweetness, the palate soft and full bodied with intense passion fruit and a fine creamy note, the finish smooth, creamy and slightly fruity. Behind the bar it brings dairy body, sweetness and tropical fruit at once, a base for creamy cocktails and a ready way to refine desserts such as ice cream or panna cotta. Serve it neat, lightly chilled or over ice. As a dairy product, keep it refrigerated once opened and use it within a few months.
