Beluga is a Russian vodka name now produced under the Noblewood Group, which distils its base spirit in Latvia and runs the blending and bottling at a plant in Montenegro. The Transatlantic Racing edition is tied to competitive sailing and built to be soft rather than loud. After distillation the spirit is reduced with pure water, then passed through a cotton filtration that pulls stray oils and sharp edges out of the liquid, leaving a clear and even body. The grain base keeps it neutral, while the careful cut and filtration shape the gentle character the brand aims for.

The nose is delicate and floral with a thread of spice. The palate is soft, fresh and lightly saline, an easy texture that drinks closer to a sea breeze than a bruiser, and the finish stays long and clean.
