Ripe citrus and a generous hit of grapefruit ride over deep, classic juniper, with liquorice and white pepper bringing warmth and weight at the bold 50% strength. A homage to the Crown Jewels and the Tower ravens, distilled wholly in London from a 24-hour maceration. Full-bodied, resinous and properly spiced.

Description
Beefeater has been distilled in London since James Burrough founded it in Chelsea in 1820, and remains the only internationally sold gin still made entirely within the city. Crown Jewel, first released in 1993 and revived in 2015, pays tribute to the Crown Jewels housed in the Tower of London and the famous ravens that guard the site, their eight names engraved on the bottle. It is built on classic Beefeater botanicals and bottled at a confident 50%.
Juniper, angelica root and seeds, coriander seeds, liquorice root, almonds, orris root and orange and lemon peel are macerated for a full 24 hours before an eight-hour distillation, with grapefruit peel added for a fresh citrus lift. The nose is intense, all ripe citrus and juniper with cardamom and a floral hint of violet. The palate is full-bodied and classic, juniper and citrus shot through with liquorice and white pepper, finishing long, resinous and spicy. Made for a robust gin and tonic with a wedge of pink grapefruit.
