BBC Spirit Bocatheva 10 YO Tropical Aging

BBC Spirit is an Italian independent bottler, and this Bocatheva is a ten year old Venezuelan, tropically aged in ex-bourbon oak at origin and bottled at 45%.

Venezuelan ron is among the smoothest and most dessert leaning of the Spanish styles, typically offering vanilla, honey, caramel and dried fruit. Tropical ageing in Caribbean heat drives faster oak extraction, so ten years at origin reads with more depth and colour than the same span in cooler Europe. At 45% from an independent selection, expect a rounded but fuller bodied Venezuelan, leaning on rich oak character with a touch more grip than the standard soft 40% bottlings of the region.
