Description

Ballantine's 21 Years Old is the deep-aged expression of the blend Miltonduff was built to serve, the floral Speyside malt forming its fragrant heart. Distilled near Pluscarden Abbey, Miltonduff has supplied Ballantine's for generations.

Twenty-one years in ex-Bourbon brought maturity, the low-tannin oak now a frame for baked fruit, light spice and a waxy thread in the grassy, floral make. A cool Speyside warehouse held the pace gentle and steady.

At 40% it shows citrus, fresh fruit, vanilla, honey, old wood and a hay-like lift. A 21 year old Ballantine's.
