Description
Baileys created the cream liqueur category in 1974, made in Ireland from fresh cream and Irish whiskey, and it remains the original and best selling name in its class. This limited edition layers the flavours of fine chocolate and roasted hazelnuts into that creamy base, bottled at 17%.
The nose is gently sweet with roasted hazelnuts, fresh cream and a hint of vanilla, the palate full bodied and silky with fine hazelnut, a mild whiskey note and velvety creaminess, the finish soft, nutty and sweetly long lasting with subtle warmth. Behind the bar it is a dessert and body ingredient, adding nutty, chocolate dairy richness and weight to a Nutty Irishman, an Espresso Martini with a praline edge or a creamy long drink, and it stirs into coffee or cocoa with ease. It pours neat over ice and enriches tiramisu or chocolate cake. As a dairy product it should be kept cool once opened and used within a few months.
