Baileys created the cream liqueur category in 1974, marrying Irish whiskey with fresh dairy cream in a stable emulsion, and it remains the original and best selling name in its class. This limited edition takes that creamy base toward the tropics, combining it with the flavours of coconut and pineapple after a classic pina colada, bottled at 17%.
The nose is fresh pineapple, coconut and a fine creamy note, the palate velvety and refreshing with a harmonious balance of tropical pineapple, creamy coconut and a gentle Irish cream sweetness, the finish long with a light pineapple and coconut flavour. Behind the bar it is a creamy tropical body ingredient, adding dairy richness and a pineapple coconut lift to a Pina Colada or a Baileys Colada Daiquiri, a way to build tropical character without a separate cream and coconut layer. It pours neat or over ice as a refreshing summer drink. As a dairy product it should be kept cool once opened and used within a few months.
