Bacardi Reserva Ocho carries a 2010 vintage and eight years of age, a column still rum from one of Puerto Rico's best known houses. It is built for approachability, gentle and rounded, with a soft dried fruit and raisin nose carrying a faint alcoholic edge.
Matured in ex bourbon wood and bottled at 40%, it is listed as sweetened, and that touch of sugar shows in the soft caramel, dried fruit and vanilla palate before a peppery, lightly woody finish.
