Mediterranean freshness in a glass: clean juniper threaded with lemon and a soft floral note of lavender. Triple-distilled in Spain and named for the 1137 union of Aragon and Barcelona, it carries Catalan history lightly. Bright, herbal and precise on the close.
Description
aVAO 1137 takes its name from the Treaty of Tudilen, the medieval pact that joined the kingdoms of Aragon and Barcelona, and pours that civic pride into a thoroughly modern Mediterranean gin. It is triple-distilled in Spain, a process that leaves the spirit unusually clean and lets each botanical read clearly and precisely.
The bouquet is spicy, floral and fruity, juniper leading with citrus close behind. On the palate classic juniper carries fresh lemon and a delicate lavender note, the two giving it an unmistakably Mediterranean lift, before a fruity, spicy, harmonious finish. Build a G&T with a Mediterranean tonic, a twist of lemon and a small sprig of lavender to let the florals sing.
