Casks 43 and 47 were both filled at Lochranza in the same 1998 production period with Oloroso seasoned wood, and matured under identical warehouse conditions for sixteen years before being released together as part of the 2014 Spring Single Cask Release programme. The small ABV difference between the two (54.2% vs 53.1%) reflects natural variation in evaporation rates between sister casks. The slightly higher 586 bottle outturn from cask 47 sits within normal variation range for Oloroso butts of this age.

Spirit was distilled at Lochranza in 1998 and matured sixteen years in single Oloroso cask 47. Bottled in 2014 at the natural cask strength of 53.1% without chill filtration and without added colour.

Sixteen years of Oloroso cask maturation delivers deep sherry compound extraction, with the cask developed sotolon, furfural and polyphenol layer integrated with the underlying Arran citric and stone fruit signature from the 1998 new make. Direct sister cask comparison material is uncommon in the indie market, and the SC54115/SC54116 pair documents the natural variation that single cask presentation preserves between casks filled days apart from the same new make production.
