Event specific bottlings within the Arran Private Cask programme represent a particular subset of the wider scheme, where casks are bottled for specific occasions: festivals, retail anniversaries, distillery events, charity releases or commercial promotions. This 2005 vintage Oloroso cask was bottled at ten years old in 2016 from the early numbered cask 2005/034. The 260 bottle outturn reflects the natural working yield of a single Oloroso seasoned cask at the ten year point.

Spirit was distilled at Lochranza in 2005 and matured ten years in a single Oloroso seasoned cask. Bottled in 2016 at 52.5% without chill filtration and without added colour, with the 260 bottle outturn covering the working volume of the single cask.

Ten years of Oloroso cask maturation delivers measured sherry compound extraction, with sotolon, furfural and the polyphenol fraction from the original wine ageing integrating with the underlying Arran spirit signature. The cask wood structure as European oak contributes a different lactone profile and tannic backbone compared to the American oak used for ex Bourbon maturations. Flavour profile: sherried, vanilla, cooked vegetable, dried fruit, leafy, new wood.
